Front Desk Attendant– Personal Training Intern

Part –Time

Maplewood NJ

$15 per hour

8-12 hours a week

Hours - After 3pm weekdays, and/or weekends.

 

GYM Hours
M-Th  5am – 12pm   3pm-9pm
Fr      5am – 12pm   3pm-7pm

Sat     8am – 5pm

Sun    9am – 5pm

 

We are continuing to build our staff for our new The GYM Maplewood. We are currently hiring a Front Desk Attendant/Personal Training Intern.

 

Get the opportunity to shadow and learn from industry experts and leaders in our state-of-the-art facilities. Work side-by-side to gain hands-on experience and develop your health and fitness knowledge.



Job Requirements

  • High school degree

  • Ability to learn and use MindBody-GYM software

  • Excellent sales, communication and customer service skills, including handling incoming calls with a friendly upbeat tone

  • Proficient computer skills

  • Punctuality

  • Professional demeanor

  • Some personal training experience desired.

  • Previous Health Club/Gym experience desired.

  • Interest in learning from Personal Training professionals.

  • Outgoing and willing to try new things! Enthusiasm and energy Interest in personal training, fitness business and making a difference in peoples lives!

 

Job responsibilities

 

  • Conduct tours of the facility for potential clients while establishing a relationship and targeting individuals’ needs and wants

  • Emphasize objectives of the GYM as a fitness and wellness provider

  • Describe available service to current or prospective members

  • Assume responsibility for developing selling skills

  • Handle all front desk related activities including:

    • Answer phones and greet members, prospective members and guests, providing exceptional customer service.

    • Check members into the system.

    • New member sign-up.

    • Book services and check them out.

    • Update member’s accounts as necessary.

    • Assist with member needs with billing inquiries, past dues or process payments. 

  • Respond to member questions and concerns in a timely and professional manner and elevate to Operations manager as needed.

  • Assist in maintaining the neatness and cleanliness of the facility, including reception area and front desk.

  • Floor Hours as necessary.
